An organization called Anti-Rape Movement Forum has organized human chain and demonstration procession in Laksam, Comilla to protest against rape, violence against women and violence against women across the country. The human chain and demonstration procession was held at Laksam Bypass area of Comilla-Noakhali Regional Highway on Friday afternoon. Five hundred volunteers from different organizations took part in it.

Online activist Wali Ullah Kawser spoke as the chief guest at Manbandhan.

Strongly condemning and protesting the incidents of rape in human chains across the country, Wali Ullah Kawser said that the death penalty should not be stopped only if the maximum punishment for rape is given. To stop eve-teasing, a mobile court will have to pass a law of 10 to 20 years to stop eve-teasing.

He also questioned the Tanu murder trial, saying the safest place in the world is the cantonment, where foreigners are not allowed to enter, so how can Tanu be raped and killed. Where no one is safe in such a safe place, then Bangladesh is not safe yet.
